Ninke Overbeek
My name is Ninke Overbeek, and I am a writer for the stage, a dramaturg,
and a poet. I have been teaching creative writing skills to students for
many years and have recently joined the Artesc team to support you in your
academic writing endeavours. I acquired an MA in Comparative Cultural
Analysis at the University of Amsterdam, and I was also educated as a writer and a dramaturg at the University of Utrecht and the Arts Academy (HKU) in Utrecht. I have been involved in artistic research for the HKU since 2017.
In my professional work, I combine creative writing skills and knowledge of the creative writing process with academic writing and thinking. It is a constant back and forth between necessary rules and energetic flexibility, a dance I absolutely adore. It is a delight for me to combine these two fields and, moreover, to support you in your writing and writing process. Whether creative or academic, the writing process is never easy and can be a real journey. Sometimes you travel by foot, sometimes in a rickety boat, sometimes on a high-speed train. But it is an enormous pleasure to be part of your journey and hopefully help to make it lighter, more fun, and less stressful.
